Hi everyone. I'm looking to buy a nice clean perfectly functioning stereo power amp. I'll consider any make, let me know what you have, condition, price etc etc. I have cash in hand and am ready to pull the trigger on the right amp. Preferably something in the 100-200wpc range but will consider amps with less power. Looking to spend around $500 but may go higher depending.
Thanks very much!
Oh, I may also consider a vintage integrated amp.

Mike, I know this guy, Mark, he's gott an M-80 for trade!
That's the M-80 that I've had twice now Greg. Who knows though, maybe three times' the charm

It's a great amp but I'm ready for a different flavour
I have a Sonic T I'll sell for $500.

I'll send you my address. A check is fine.

Pff, that's a rip off, $500 for a single amp. For that money, I'll give you a nice sampling of BPC.

Thanks so much for the offers guys, most generous.
I know of a tech-owned Hafler D500 for $350 to $400. He's thoroughly gone through it.
It's probably best to buy the amp in Canada so you don't have to pay an import duty. If you do buy from the States, do you have a friend on the US side of the border that it can be shipped to?
For $500 you have a lot of options:
- vintage or contemporary?
- is it all about the sound, mostly aesthetics, or both?
- would you prefer silver or black?
- is power more important than refinement?
- any brands that you don't want to consider?
I live 45 minutes from the US border so most things I buy from the US that has value I get shipped to the border store just over on the Minnesota side. I have to pay taxes and occasionally duty but not often.
At any rate, amp found and my Yamaha CA-2010 is on the way to its new home
Did a trade with an AK'er. The amp has had some EW treatment, case is a tad rough but I don't have much into this deal so I might send the case off to Rob for a dose of his woodworking magic
