My recently aquired a Hafler Pro 500, the hook up options are XLR or 1/4 inch, my delima, there are 4 1/4 inputs to the power amp, how do I hook these to my preamp? My other AHafler only has 2 1/4 inch outputs.

I am looking at some XLR to RCA adapters, they will take some time to get here and I really want to hook this thing up.

Thanks, Jim

You can buy banana plug to RCA adaptors. I use them for my PC2002M. Make sure you get the mono version.

The Hafler site only shows the home version manual.

Are you saying two mono 1/4 into 1 stereo rca?

Hey, Jim.
There are only a coupla downsides with my Hafler Transnova:
--the odd cable needs (which I took care of by ordering them on a famous online auction site)
--limit to only one pair of speakers at a time. I did buy splitters but haven't used them yet, largely because this is a small narrow room, and it's plenty loud with any of my main speakers.

That said, it's all worth it. And I got the amp for 75 bux over Craigslist, which doesn't hurt my feelings at all, and justifies a few auxiliary expenditures.

duct tape wont work? it works on just about everything, or so they say

That's what I meant.
Think duct tape. and bailing wire.
Order a gross of that duct tape and bailing wire.

See attached. Are these the connections you are looking for?

Yes, I have a set like that, I was using them on my P1500. I was concern because in each side there is two 1/4 inch inputs. I have heard back from the original owner, use one input stereo for each channel.

Ah, you have dual inputs per channel. My Yamaha PC2002M has the same dual inputs. I've used either set and it seems to make no difference. I'm not sure about using BOTH sets at the same time.
