right rack. I would like to change the face of the power supply for the Squeezebox. A nice wood panel that would match the darker equipment.

you could always send a PM, but good hi-jack as it brought back a thread that left me speechless the first couple of times i read (looked at) it.

on third and fourth look i am still in awe and cant help but think that the sound produced by this hardware is nothing short of magnificent!

I agree whole heartedly! A fine system indeed, one to be proud of and enjoy to the fullest! soundt/master.gif

Mr. Pig is a swell fella, and one who's helped me on the path of refining my system.

As you can see, he knows what he's talking about.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This system is a work in progress, and hasn't reached it's first iteration. Actually this is the first solid state system I have owned since I was 10 or 20. I had bought a Cyrus 2 integrated and it died on me. It had circuitous journey to factory service. While waiting for its return, I bought a Dynaco Stereo 70, and became a life long association with tubes.

But these days the big Rowland amp satisfies, and TOTL 90's era solid state gear offers excellent performance for the dollars layed out.

But SS amps can't be voiced like a tube amp can with various tube swaps. So I am searcing for a speaker that blends well with the Rowland gear. Am listening to some Mordaunt Short Performance 880, which are a fine speaker. Unfortunately, they have too many of the same characteristics, and the sound is not quite what I am looking for. But hey I am picky. But these are beautiful speakers.

So the search continues, although I have two perspecive canidates. BESL makes a speaker that blows me away. Also Eminent Technology LFT 8B are on my short list.

Listening to music on my system is indeed a joy. I wish everyone the best of luck on their audio journey.

Regards
Mister Pig
