Recommended ways to serve Dr. Pepper hot...

One method- Warm a poured can of Dr. Pepper on the stove and turn it off just before it starts to simmer. Pour into a mug over a thin slice of lemon.

Another method- Warma poured can of Dr. Pepper on the stove, and add a cinnamon stick to the liquid. Turn it off just before it starts to simmer. Remove the cinnamon, pour the DP in a mug.

The lemon method imparts a mellow taste, while the the cinnamon method gives it more of a kick.

It is strongly recommended NOT to use the diet Dr. Pepper for this, as the sweeteners used, when heated, will impart a chemical taste.

... Dr. Pepper hot...

i tried it but it just not for me. guess i never 'warmed up' to it. i did get a big kick out of Christopher Walken, in "Blast for the Past", as the mad cold-war conspiratist warming DP on the stove in his underground bomb shelter.

Or bring it to a rolling boil. Wait till all has evaporated, then wash the pan.

Is this a twist on "revenge is best served cold?"

DP is best served in the presence of a dog. Whether it is warm or cold. smile.gif You should be able to figure out what the dog is for. smile.gif

there's also an unrelated drink called the flaming dr. pepper. i think it's made with rum.
