If those are the Type A, which, by their size, they might well be, they are the first speakers designed by Peter Snell himself, which, in turn, put Snell Acoustics in the map in the late 70´s.
Never heard any Snells, but they were sort of "Cult" speakers. I believe Audio Note U.K. srongly based their own line of speakers on Snell´s drivers and principles. Very tube friendly, in the sense they were quite efficient and easy loads.
I wish an ST member would get those. Whatever model they are, they´re a bargain, even if in need of refoaming.

I think those are Type E's and the photos of the back on the CL listing show a "/III". My guess is Type E/III.

I believe you´re right too. I just found a pic of the Type A´s, and those were much larger.
