If you need one, I may have an extra...Where would it have to ship to if you're interested?

Clint,
I won't have a chance to get to it until next week. I will double box it and check shipping costs. Are you OK with possibly up to $60 US for shipping on top of $15 US for the amp? I haven't got a weight yet, but rates have gone up tremendously lately....
Cheers!
Allan

I have the Sonic Impact T-amp.
I'm interested in using DC power
I'm guessing it's positive pole on the center core, and negative around the perimeter, but I don't like guessing, seeing as I don't like watching my components go up in smoke (literally).
I have lots of adapters around or could buy one out of bin at goodwill for 2 bux.
Anybody else using DC with his T Amp?

The batteries are dc, but if want to plug in a transformer - i think it's your idea - there's nothing wrong in changing polarities in a dc transformer. It simply doesn't work at all, nothing more. biggrin.gif
I'm using a transformer for my kid's Super T-amp. Also you can use a car battery for T-amp power supply. Nothing can beat a good dc battery as a dc power supply. biggrin.gif DC is a much more cleanly electric source than any AC circuit, even with power conditioners.

...and i want to say this for a long time now: biggrin.gif

The only amplification that IMO is compared to tubes, in depth, detail and warm - are digital.
IMHO every digital amp are nowadays way above any solid state even vintage SS.

A friend of mine bought in ebay a TEAC combo amp and dvd player - with Tripath digital amps - for 75€ and it blows me away. ohmy.gif
Yes, whatever we like it - i love it - or not, digital is the way to go.
