I was so excited by ST's anniversary that I lived vicariously thru XXX buying an amp. And I bought an amp. At the recommendation of the fellers here, I got a chip amp, which they indicated today has been shipped.

Seems like we're pulling out the stops for the first anni. I bought the almarro which has proven fantastic thus far. Will try to update. Wife is not normally fond of gadgets but daughter and she come up and listen. gotta wait until they're around to do any real listening but it's there money too. i am just glad she's not quibbling like last year when I bought speakers. She actually ahowed in interest in learning how to turn it on and off. Who knows maybe next she'll learn how to bias the thing.

God forbid.

I won´t even let mine dust my tube amps, or any of my gear, for that matter.

I was joking but if they really like listening to it so be it. In the end, I'll have them alot longer and will spend more time with them too.

Wife is truly my best friend and I dumped friends that were really bad influences b/c of her support. I knew them since I was 4 or 5 years old. Most of em dealt drugs at one point or another, provided housing for serious serious felons or spent their days smoking pot and writing graffitti. Just found out that one of them had to end their "professional" skateboarding career at the age of 32. I put professional in quotes b/c I don't think he ever made more than a few dollars if any and was never seriously sponsored.

They became serious no goodnicks that eventually grew jealous of the fact that I tried hard enough and succeeded at life. I at least feel good because I always offered them a hand until they started stealing from me.

That's why she can touch the amp.

Well that's a different story. However the amp can always be replaced. I like stuff but have never been hung up on it. Stuff always seems to come and go. I do however understand your points.

Problem is I know plenty of people who have real problems with all types of "stuff". It seems that the more stuff you get, the less happy you become as you eventually build your own gilded cage. I know several multi millionaires and the only one that is happy is the guy who gives his money to his family. But alas he doesn't have a wife or kids himself and doesn't need to provide for them. At any rate this is drifting off topic. SORRY to everyone.
