I dont believe they are directional, I just plugged them in

i ask because i seem to have lost a little gain, the amps have to work harder to get the same volume level. i've checked and re-checked the connections and everything is in order.

imaging is more precise, but the sweet spot has narrowed.

To be honest if you were running silver ICs then you are going to have more resistance from the Tara Labs. What do you mean the sweet spot has narrowed?
No they aren't directional. I would send you my silver ICs but you would freak at cost.

no, he's just a tightwad,

with my IC's the sweet spot, the place in the room where the sound is best defined and coherent, is almost the entire width and depth of the room. with the Tara's the sweet spot is now only about 6 ft wide, but the depth is about the same.
