Used is fine as I just want to be able to record my own CD's without mucking around with a computer involved.

Also I see the Sony RCD W500C is available and cheap. Is it any good though?

Then there is the Denon CDR W1500 which I know nothing about.

Anyone with any experience with any of these products?

Thanks.
Mike

Putting laundry away this evening, I found an old Phillips CDR-775 I had stored away in the closet. It was given to me a while back in need of repair. I never took a close look at it, but I seem to recall that the recorder half (two drives) didn't want to work for some reason or other. It was also missing the left drawer cover. Don't have the remote either.

Want it to see if you can continue your string of luck in fixing these old players? I haven't a use for it and probably will never look into repairing it.

I did a search here and evidently I didn't post that I had found one. I was sure I had since I got it for 60.00. It sure is a sweet unit. The unit you have JP sounds like it's more than a mechanical problem to me. I'd be outta my league in electronics smile.gif Thanks anyway.

Well shoot, now how am I gonna get rid of this thing? soundt/confused.gif smile.gif

Dunno if it's a mechanical problem or electrical, all I've ever done with it is plugged it in briefly to see if it powered up.
