I wonder if you ever tried the Sovtek 5881WXT ? ...but be careful, because they can blow your mind. A friend of mine who have Fender and Mesa amps - for guitar, not hi-fi...- bought the other day the Sovetks and i listen to the amps and you almost can cut the sound in slices...if you know what i mean...

the Penta are Chinese made Alvaro, and they sound decent too, I never woulda guessed! These are the only other output tubes I've tried other than my orignal smoke-glass GEC's, and clear-glass GEC's. I'm always on the lookout for other swappable output tubes, thanks for the tip Alvaro!

EL84/6BQ5 amp (apparently you can unhook a set of OPT's and run this badboy SE!

Very interesting. it´s the first time I see a stereo amp with two output transformers per channel,sothat really seems to indicate you can run them PP or SE.

I bet those are pretty rare.
