Check out my new to me Fisher 500C receiver. It is in near mint condition. All the tubes except the outputs are original Fishers and the outputs are American made GE's. The 500C has plenty of power.

This example was a console pull and once resided with a pair of Goodman coaxials, the one with purple felt dampeners. My friend got the Goodmans. It aparently sat for a long time. The controls were filthy but the cleaning was easy enough.

I've been playing the 500C all afternoon with a variety of my favorite jazz and blues CD's. At first, the sound was a little muffled and unresolved. As the hours have passed, it is clearing up nicely. I guess the electronics and tubes need wake up time after a long hibernation.

my old sansui 1000a would take atleast a half an hour to warm and clear up, the longer it was on the better it sounded, I didnt leave it on all the time because it got warm like a toaster.

I've had a few Baby Boomers over and they fondly remember either having a Fisher, hearing a Fisher, and/or wanting a Fisher. There must have been thousands made. Not only is it a nice sounding tube amp, it is a great conversation piece.

It is a truly classic piece of audio gear. Enjoy!
