The first of the four tuners I ever bought myself.

Had it for half a dozen years or so, then sort of lent it to one of my nephews upon giving up on Radio in the mid / late 80´s.

I subsequently bought the BPC Sony digital tuner previously discussed in these pages, then, more recently, the analog Onkyo T-5000 now residing at Clint E.´s, and finally the Rotel RT-2100 which sees almost daily use at home.

A couple of weeks ago, my nephew, a very shrewd young man biggrin.gif , realized he´d make me a very happy uncle if this Uher EG-705 analog ( albeit with a digital read-out ) tuner would be to return to its origins.

This mini 3 gang tuner sounds better than it´s size would have you believe. In retrospect that´s what made me buy it in the first place, in that far gone year of 1983.

I might. It will go into Ines ( my eldest ) bedroom´s system, which, BTW is rapidly taking shape, now.

She´s free to take it with her, along with the rest of the system, when she moves out. wink.gif

Yes, there was a matching pre-amp,30 watt power amp and a car-type cassette deck to make a complete mini system. I´ve seen a few pre and power amps being sold at ebay Germany over the last year.

It has a similar design of the first Quads, remember? That retro look is quite appeling.
Uher were big also in reel to reel tape machines, but i never seen one like yours.
Congrats. soundt/thumbup.gif

As a Denver Broncos fan, who had season tix (via dad) starting in 1967,
I think the color is FABulous.
