Answered a wanted ad on Friday and ended up making arrangements to drop off an item Saturday at a rather well known retirement community. Some six months or so ago I went to an estate sale there and picked up several audio items including a phono stage and an Esoteric unit. I missed a tt and mentioned it to another buyer who told me he saw it and it looked nice. Talked about my hobby and he said he had a tt that I might be interested in but it was stored at his mountain cabin. Couldn't tell me anything about except he's had it there for a long time, and he would bring it down. He gave me his card. So I gave him a call Saturday. He did remember our conversation but he is in Hawaii. He has a place there and every year he and his wife do six months there and six months here (must be nice). Said he has the tt all wrapped up and that I can have it . Told me he only used it a couple times so it's basically new. Well, he won't be back until May but he is looking forward to giving it to me. Thoughts of sugarplums run through my head. Oh, made quite a profit on the item I sold.
