attached is what is probably the most interesting tuner I have seen in my life. It is the Scott Stereomaster 433, and I believe it is the world's first digital FM tuner.

Note the cool red lights and the SINGLE tuning button. also, note the cool "credit card" slot on the right. I wonder what this was for?

There is one on audioclassics priced at $1000 right now, much more than I'd pay for one. but, it might actually be worth that due to it's rarity.


I believe Axel over at TVK is in the process of putting together a page on it. I can't wait until it's done!

do you know approximately how many were produced?


never seen that scott before. what's its approximate value? is it stereo? how many watts per channel?

About the Marantz 8B there's a talk in certain audio circles that only five units were made of this model... ohmy.gif

The Scott 280, is a mono block with 4 EL34 and 72 watts. it's very rare and very expensive. biggrin.gif

We're talking about audio legends. wink.gif

the slot was used for pre programmed station cards that you could program yourself(think of it as a preset).
