I've been getting a few emails about the layout. Most want me to reduce the size of the font, some even suggest going with a slimmer one than "Ariel". I should mention that currently it is a size twelve. Let me know what you think, and any other layout ideas.

I know jack sh...t about magazine layouts, so here are my 2 cents:

I like to print A$$A issues to browse through them , back and forth, in my leisure times. Nothing beats leafing through the pages, rather than scrolling up and down on your monitor. The feeling of paper in your fingers is very reassuring for a middle-aged fellow. biggrin.gif

Having initiated a rapid process of eyeloss, it´s a blessing to me to be able to read your pages, withouts my specticles, under reasonable lightning conditions.
You could possibly save on the number of pages if you reduce the font size, and make your magazine more in line with modern offerings. Is that what you´re looking for?

The one and only complaint I have about A$$A´s layout is the fact that the whole magazine is based on a two column page format, making it a bit boring at times.
Nothing too serious, and I don´t know whether it is viable to have it any other way.

As for the rest? I was an avid reader of british hi-fi magazines for over 25 years, spending quite a lot of money every month on what became mostly advertising oriented rags, whose editors have lost touch with reality, as if the whole community were millionaires. Thanks to A$$A, I now have a monthly magazine to read again.

Hope this helps.

Jorge:
Your thoughts and observations are much appreciated. At this point, I'm just listening to ideas, so I won't make a commentary.
Thanks,
Mark
