I'd say the cutoff should be 1980.

I think that if the mods voted, we only get a half vote, and the members who vote get a whole vote, theoretically its their forum.

IMHO a vintage forum would just complicate things.

Under "Vintage" we would have all sorts of equipment in just one forum?

Speakers, TTs, Cassettes, amps, etc., all mixed together? Members would soon ask for sub-forums. For all purposes there would be a duplication of the site.
