Don't be so sure you can't bring a separate power supply in. If it's in conduit, sometimes they leave a pull rope in, it it's a newer installation. If you're not good at residential wiring, have an electrician take a peek for you.

I agree with Larry.
There's always a space in the electrical pipes for one more wire.

Well guys I wish I would have thought about using tubes or pipes or even leaving a pull in when I finished my basement but I didn't. We drilled holes in the studding and thread the wire the old conventional way. The two walls that it is thread thru are outer walls with insulation to boot. The cat5 I ran along pipes and into air return ducts. I finshed the basement after the house was bulit. What about a line conditioner? Do they work?

thats funny, the first concert i ever went to was the Doobie Brothers, the opening act was Ambrosia.
glad you are making progress, there are greater rewards ahead.
Used CD´s are safe enough. Just avoid deep scratched ones, and you should be alright.

A much discussed question. I have several Tripp Lite conditioners that are audio rated and have the computer and an audio system presently hooked up. But, it is more for protection than anything else. What I need to do is sit down and listen to variations with the microwave on and off. I know that the tv is affected on certain channels but have yet to dig back to hook one up.
