Ceux Qui Marchent Debout - Debout

Funk played by what amounts to a small marching band with a banjo. And to think, Scott and Kelly call my tastes in music 'goofy.' The first song "La Mayo" is a celebration of the band's favorite condiment (mayonnaise) and it only gets better. Besides, a tuba can make any music fun. laugh.gif

Nothing better to start off my annual vacation than this one, my all time favourite piece of music. I´ve listened to it literally hundreds of times and never get tired of it.

This time a surprisingly nice sounding DDD CD I bought in 1983.

Gee, I close my eyes and I have Keith and his grand-piano in my room.

One of the best sounding CD´s I own, and the musicianship is just amazing.

Everything But The Girl - Walking Wounded

Yet another borrowed disk. Need to sell some speakers so I can start buying albums again. Kind of like this one, reminds me of Massive Attack - Protection, which is no surprise considering Tracey Thorn collaborated with them on that album and lent her vocals to the song. Just very different from the obnoxious jazz-pop of EBTG's first album that I picked up at a garage sale long ago based upon a friend's recommendation.

Just got back from the movies with the family.
To finish off the evening I´m listening to this soothing set.
I´m Proud to say the pianist is one of the best in the world and she is portuguese.
There´s something special to her Chopin playing, though she´s mostly known for her Mozart.

In the wake of Jim Eck´s recently started thread on favourite blues I´m now spinning Eric Clapton´s " From the Cradle". Pure root blues.
