I am interested in a fuse for my tubed headphone amp and it takes a 3 amp "fast-blow" shorty 250 volt. Isoclean fuses only come in "slow-blo", so am I looking for trouble if I install a "slow blow" in place of a "fast-blow"! The HI-Fi Tuning fuses come in both slo and fast blo's. Most of what I have read,seems like the Isoclean ones are ones to buy. They are not cheap, but if I can hear a diff for the good, then that's o.k! by me! Anybody use either brand with good results? Huck, I wouldn't install a slow-blow, when the piece calls for a fast-blow, just not good practice. As far as whether or not you, or any other person can hear a difference in fuses.... well, good luck with that...

Having said that, I´m sure many will be interested in your findings, so by all means keep us up-dated.

Imho, ceramic are better than glass fuses. For the simple fact that if a fuse blows it could happen the glass blows also, and that's not a good thing.
I use only ceramic fast blows. Never use slow blows in audio.
For sonic reasons, imo it's better to use ferrite rings on power cable than "audio" fuses.

The main use of low blow fuses are for industrial porposes. Almost all audio components have fast blow fuses. Exceptions are in some power amps - class D and sub woofers included - , some speakers and/or PA systems.

I received two Hi-Fi Tuning fuses and installed one (2.5amp fast-blo) in my Woo Audio WA6 headphone amp and I "think" I can hear a difference for the good, but maybe it's my wallet telling me that I "should" hear a difference. My amp is still burning-in, so maybe I won't be able to be properly hear the difference yet. I am curious (sucker) for cheap tweaks! Huck

I do believe that you can ear some difference - for better - between low vs. fast blow fuses, for the simple fact that fast blow fuses have a lesser resistance than low blows.

And yes, i'm a sucker too, for cheap tweeks that works.
