Sorry for the delay in replying.

No I am not 'Ted Garvins' cousin.

Apart from the 'James Bond' novels there are only two other 'characters' that facinate me;

Modesty Blaise & her 'knife throwing' sidekick WILLIE GARVIN!!!

I have read most of the Modesty Blaise novels over & over again.

They were written by an english author Peter O'donnell

They are my favourite books & because I collect 'anything' to do with 'weapons' & I might add just about everything else, so I felt a natural affinity with 'Willie Garvin' who uses 'throwing knives' as his main weapon.

As I sit in my office/my den/my room/my hifi room/stuffed full of collectables I have behind me 3 throwing knives in their sheaths & behind them lots of Modesty Blaise novels.

Also behind me are two crossbows, crossbow bolts, various knives, spent bullets, guns, objects of 'art deco', catapults, clocks, etc, according to my wife I have 'regressed' ( to return to a previous, usually worse or less developed state) to being a 'child'................................................correct a 58yr old one too!!!

So I just had to use Willie as my name, to risky to use Modesty!!!!

I didnt take it as serious, but I lived in the UK for 3 years, and I didnt think you knew about my little joke, "different tv shows and all" thats all, I have enjoyed you diving right in here with our website, its refreshing. now I dont have to be bored to death with dingus's posts.

oh ya and dingus plugged something in wrong when he got his new power center but didnt post, so we should ask him to post about the sparks that flew.
