Hello Mark,

New member here and have to tell you that your Centennial components are simply breathtaking!

I am sure you have found other sources for replacement parts for these, but if not here is a link to a site.

Regards,
Mike

That's an extensive selection of parts for the CX-10000. soundt/thumbup.gif I hope any parts that need replacing in my lifetime will be commonly available resisters, diodes and transisters.

damn you're lucky, mark! the CDP alone is by far the most well-built i've ever seen!! puts my PIONEER PD-91 to shame! congrats, man... soundt/thumbup.gif one plus of the PD-91 though; it's VERY easy to dismantle the transport and swap out pick-ups! i dismantled mine to examine the pick up and carefully replace it's lens. the entire procedure; disassembly and reassembly took only 30ins./1 hour, and the whole process went smooth as silk! i am so happy with my PD-91 that i have no intention of ever looking for another CDP as long as i can keep it going (PIONEER still manufactures batches of this CDP's pick-up) nevertheless, i've seen just about every high-end CDP ever made, and i do not recall ever seeing one nearly as well built as your CDX. wow. wish i could come to your place and see it in the flesh! Mark, you're most likely the only person in the entire portland area to own any of these components. what an incredible system to be proud of!

The build quality of the Pioneer PD-91 is impressive. Love that copper chassis! Attaching the transformer to the back of the player is an interesting approach. It undoubtedly is very good for isolating the power supply from the rest of the circuitry.

it claims in the manual that the isolated power supply eliminates the effects of magnetic flux that a internally mounted trannie incurs upon the electronics. further, the tranniwe is mounted upon an aluminum cradle that is isolated from the chassis on rubber grommets over mountings that give it a sight loose wobbliness. they claim that isolates the micro-vibrations of the trannie. it must all work, as this CDP is by far the most sure-footed, beautiful sounding CD player i have ever known. now, if i can only find a near mint or better example...

Hey Arup, it's great to see you around!

I replaced the NS-1000x carbon woofers with standard NS-1000 woofers. I haven't done any serious listening to them yet. rolleyes.gif

Those are great looking separates. I've never seen them before this post.
