I've been relatively fortunate in my audio journey, but, dang it, there are still some mighty cool things out there I'd love to get my hands on. Most of these wants have been made all the stronger due to missing out at just the last minute. So, I figured I'd put up a thread where I'll post what I'd like to be able to get my hands on (if only a dream list) and maybe, just maybe one of ya will run across an opportunity where I could possibly trade some of my stuff for the gear in question.

The first few items:

Sone APM-8 -- I know where a pair of these are and I had worked out a deal to snag them, but the seller changed his mind just as I finally worked out transportation after months of trying. user posted image

Infinity Betas (or at least just the bass towers) -- My realistic dream speakers, but since this is a thread of dreams anyways, how about a pair of IRS Vs?

Pioneer S-F1 -- Just because it combines the coolness of the APM-8 with the concentric Tannoy approach. This is unobtanium, but it's fun to list.

For more realistic wants:

Sony CDP-XA20ES/XA30ES or the like -- I've always wanted to try a puck based CD player just because.

A good, high end DAC -- I'm a digital guy and most of my favorite music only comes on CD, so one of these would be put to good use.

Krell amplifier -- Any one of 100+ wpc, old is fine. Seriously.

Quad of good EL 84/6BQ5 tubes.

Magnepan Tympani bass panels.

Infinity QLS-1 (Quantum Line Source) -- This is a frustrating speaker to get my hands on, I've had numerous deals fall through on pairs of these. Though, in the end, I'd rather have a pair of QRS (Quantum Reference Series).

Oh, how could I have forgotten to mention a wireless Slim Devices Squeezebox? Anyone upgrade to a Transporter and have a beat up unit they'd like to trade for something?
