I started putting this system together in the late '80's when I purchased the M-80, a C-80, a Yamaha CDP, and the Dual TT. My main speakers at that time were Bose 601 series II, which I still own. The original Yamaha CDP died and was dispossed of - it was no great loss.

Amp: Yamaha M-80
Pre-amp: Krell KRC-3
Phono stage: Herron VTPH-1MM
Turntable: Dual CS 5000
Phono Cartridge: Shure V15VxMR
CD Player: Denon CDC-1650AR
Speakers: Energy Veritas 2.4i
Record Cleaner: VPI 16.5
Rack: Paradigm

It sounds every bit as sweet as it looks too. The Energy speakers are one of the few newer speakers I've heard that I really like.

I owned a pair of Veritas 2.8's and can vouch for their great sound. I'd have another pair of Veritas in the house any time...maybe I'll find a pair at the Sally wink.gif

for those of you who havent seen this system in person, the photo's dont do it justice.

to my ear, this system is very smooth and sweet, absolute zero listening fatigue with one of the cleanest, quietest vinyl rigs you are likely to hear.

Great looking system Mark.

I´m not familiar with any of it, with the exception of the Dual TT, possibly amongst the best Duals ever.

I´m sure it sounds great.

Oh, that thing you have on the top shelf of the rack can be haazardous to your health. Ship it to me asap. biggrin.gif

Incredible system. wink.gif
I have a friend who's got the same pre-amp from Krell, it's a great - but expensive - pre-amp with an awsome state of the art aluminium remote. rolleyes.gif
Have fun.

I too have had a chance to listen to this setup for a few hours about this time last year. Very nice sound overall, nothing that stood out that would cause for fatigue. Mark's system was also the best vinyl system I've heard, including ridiculously expensive Linn/Wilson setups. I could almost make due with vinyl instead of CDs with such a system.

Nice clean look. Is the TT rack mounted to the wall?
