If all you thought Duane did was play a few instrumentals this cd set is an eye opener. He has been recording since the early 60's and I never knew how much he contributed to music. The booklet that comes with the cds is worth the price of the set alone.

I didn't know that he has played with almost all the big names at one time or another. plus he's done blues, soundtracks and all sorts of varied music.

The music on here started slow and then about the 3rd. song it just sort of grabbed me. I really enjoyed this set. Some of the best songs are the ones I never have heard before or don't remember. smile.gif

He has played with some of the Beatles, Ry Cooder, Ravi Shankar, Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and many many others. He was the second white act to play the Apollo following Buddy Holly.

If you enjoy his music then this is a set you should have. It's two cds covering from Rebel Rouser to a cd in the late 80's.
