I've been receiving a few emails on how this event is going to run. So, here is the general scope:
The gathering will take place in a reception hall. The room is at least 60'x50'. We will also have the foyer available for display as well. There will be plenty of tables to display equipment, sit and chat/listen. Due to the electrical situation, power is a bit limited. Make sure to bring along a strip bar and a heavy duty extension cord. The benefit is that, ten systems won't be playing at the same time!
Several people are planning on bringing equipment to sell, or money to buy. I would, therefore, consider this a swap meet as well.
At the present time I still plan on having sub sandwiches, chips, pop, for the first 50 people. Although that could change to hot dogs or burgers on the grill if the church youth group wants to take that on.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for the information.

...for the first 50 people

Just how big of a turn out are you expecting? I would've thought it'd be 1/4th of that judging by how these things tend to go.

Check in started in the original thread.

I plan on being there unless something unexpected comes up and if I can rouse myself out of bed ~4 AM. (Why couldn't a location be chosen that actually was centrally located for everyone rather than Portland, which demonstrates a severe I-5 corridor bias? What about the others who life on the I-90, I-84, I-82, etc corridors?)

I pegged on food for 50 just as a chance the stars align. Chances are that closer to 25 will show. That's ok, If I lose some cash on this, so be it. I'm just looking forward to finally meeting people face to face.

Just make sure you print out a map from the link on the website.
