Large collection of manifestoes, images and other essays from the Italian art and noise music movement by Russolo, Marinetti, etc
http://www.unknown.nu/futurism/ "Futurism was an international art movement founded in Italy in 1909. It was (and is) a refreshing contrast to the weepy sentimentalism of Romanticism. The Futurists loved speed, noise, machines, pollution, and cities; they embraced the exciting new world that was then upon them rather than hypocritically enjoying the modern world’s comforts while loudly denouncing the forces that made them possible. Too bad they were all Fascists." A quote from the above page. -------------------- ![]() " Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be measured " Albert Einstein![]() |

completely happenstance that i'm listening to him now, but I'm getting the sense Peter Gabriel knew of this movement consciously or intuitively.
