Special thanks to my friend Jorge, who was kind enough to send me a package. It's been here for a few days, but I just got to open it (my father and I share the same first name, so things get mixed up a bit- the box is about the size of some of his diabetes supplies).
A nice passive pre- about the size of a desktop pocket calculator from the 80's, it features a volume pot and a switch to run either a cd player or pre-amp- your choice. I'll write more about it soon- I'm taking a short break right now on the apartment, and getting ready for my new job. But I wanted to thank Jorge for a kind and generous gift! Thanks! A trial period as a graphic artist. I used to work for a company, and they'd like me back. I've got to see how well I can handle the workload. They are being very understanding. it's been taxing on me, with the new apartment not quite done and other issues as well. so it's moving slowly, but surely. I hope for it to pick up pace after this coming week.
