I really, REALLY, hate making posts like this. The only reason I'm even putting this here is because I know several S-T members live in the Pacific NW or better yet, WA state...

That said...

My wife has asked me for a divorce. This isn't new news... we have been having problems for a couple of years now but I always hoped things might "work themselves out". unsure.gif

I'm moving from Eastern Washington to Western Washington (Seattle, Auburn area) and my modest collection can not make the move with me. I have for sale:

Infinity WTCL towers, rare as hell 200w 6 Ohm 5-way towers. (search forums for refoaming thread) w/ original boxes

Pioneer CS-99a 5-way floor standing speakers, probably 9/10 condition (w/ original boxes)

Pioneer SX-1250 needs the pots cleaned but besides that sounds awesome and works, looks just as good

Sony STR-DA4ES Google all you want. This receiver cost me close to $800 new a few years ago, would love to have $400 out of it. 5.1/7.1 surround, more bells and whistles than you will know what to do with.

Cerwin Vega DX-9's, pair, excellent condition (9/10), 400w, 4 Ohm, three way, *awesome*

Cerwin Vega LS-12 powered subwoofer, like new. Cost $200., 12" down firing sub, tons of bass, like new.

Cerwin Vega DX-5's, 12" woofer, 8 Ohms, three way, rated 175w a channel, excellent (9/10) condition

Cerwin Vega e-76c center channel speakers, 2 of them, supposedly rated at 125w @ 8Ohm, with 2 6.5" woofers and a central self-resetting balanced dome tweeter. $150+ on ebay each, new. One is mint, one has a small (finger sized) hole in the grill but otherwise is MINT.

All the Cerwin Vega took over 10 years for me to accumulate and has been carefully selected to perform as a superb home theatre setup with the STR-DA4ES. As a home theatre this system will make you happy to wait for DVD releases as opposed to spending the money on seeing a movie at the theater! This is relatively rare gear in excellent shape and will probably be impossible for me to replicate later down the road. It *deserves* to go to a good home!

PM or email me with offers if you are interested before the end of July, else it hits craigslist and ebay. The DX-9s weigh in at over 100lbs a piece and will be ridiculous to ship any great distance! I would prefer a local pickup but that is also open to negotiation.

Thanks to all, to a wonderful (if short) time here at S-T. Hope I can join you again in the future.

So sorry to hear about your woes.

Anybody able to watch any of that gear for you?

Wish I was closer, my friend- I'd gladly babysit a piece or two. Those WTLCs are one of my favorite speakers I've heard.

hope everything finds a good home, and hope things work out well for you.

thats a damn shame all the way around, i wish you the best of luck getting through the tough days ahead. better days are on the horizon, you'll get to start building another system someday.

If you have to have a couple things to store I could store them In my house for a while until you get settled. I have the room. but it will be about aug 15 before my soon to be ex-wife moves out and the space is available. I live about 15 min from Auburn.

Let me know

Thanks guys for the sentiments.

Storing them would be great but that's part of the problem... getting them to that side of the mountains. I will initially have to be on the move and must travel light. I do appreciate the offer though. Sorry to hear that you are in the "soon to be ex-wife" mode too. I'll be working out of Auburn, I believe, might have to hunt you down and buy you a pint some time.

Thanks again, for the sentiments and the prayers.

I may have the possibility of storing them with one of my neighbors here. He's from the Seattle area originally and makes the trip over the mountains a few times a year so when I finally get my feet planted a few months from now maybe I can have him slowly start trickling them over to me.

I only worked half a day yesterday and spent the rest of the afternoon ironing some of the wrinkles out of my plans including discussing the transition with my wife... What suprised me was my wife volunteering that she would give up her job here and move herself and our son over there too later this fall once I got established! There is no saying for sure if something like this might save my marriage and who knows if she will still be interested when the time comes but it certainly can't be any worse than the current state of our relationship. Being close to our boy is very high on my list of priorities so even if we get divorced but she is living over there as well this will certainly be a good thing. I have a glimmer of hope that maybe this big a change will breath some new air into our marriage, especially if she is that willing to make the move as well.

On a tangent can anyone recommend cheap housing around the Auburn area? I may take a motorhome over there IF I can find an RV park with vacancy but would rather not if it can be avoided.
