Not sure if they are worth $300, but here they are:

I'd be tempted if the SMGa's were a bit cheaper. They are only a 45 minute drive away. Don't know where I'd put them though...

$300 is a little on the high end but if they are as nice as they look and sound 100% they are well worth it in my book. There will not be a lot of $300 speakers that can match it IMHO as long as your not a rocker. You might want a sub,a nd they are a little picky about amps and placement but once you set them up right they have a mid range magic that has pretty much ruined box and cone speakers for me. I LOVE maggies. This post has been edited by Superfly on August 28, 2007 06:40 pm -------------------- Large Member

I was sent some info (actually posted elsewhere) from a former member of ST that was kind enough to explain that these will most likely need a bit of work. not much, something along the lines of a $50 investment and a re-gluing of some items.
Hardest part would be getting the sock off, he said, and then getting it back on, as the material shrinks once removed. If you get them, I'll dig up that info. And if you're only 45 minutes away from these, you're only 60-75 minutes away from me. I'm hoping to have an audio get-together in October. Would love to have you attend. -------------------- What you got back home, lil' sister, to play yer fuzzy warbles on? Pitiful, portable picnic players? Come with uncle & hear all proper! Hear angels trumpets & devils trombones. You are invited!
