I'll post this here - I'm too new at this to make a quick value decision, so you guys take a look. I have just been emailed this list. It was on a local CL a month ago or so, and I responded. He wants to sell it as a lot. He said I was the only response that wasn't a crock..................

ADDED ITEM: 85 11-28-07
I looked up prices of sold items on ebay. The total of all low prices I found added up to:
Approx $3120 (NEEDS REVISION DUE TO SOLD AND ADDED ITEMS)
Adding up the high end sold prices I came up with:
Approx $6185 (NEEDS REVISION DUE TO SOLD AND ADDED ITEMS)
These totals exclude 28 items which had no sold history on ebay at this time.
Most of the units worked when I acquired them. They have all been sitting unused for years. 5 - 15 years.
A few units are cosmetically flawed, but for the most part they look okay.

Well, what do you think?

What is he asking Larry? The 22xx sereis Marantz's are some of their finest, the Phase Linear can be quite nice, it all depends on what is needed, you can figure on at least cleaning the pots and relamping. I would venture to guess that at least some will need more care.

The wood cases on the Marantz is an added bonus.

A Pioneer 950 would make a nice receiver.

Cassette decks aren't worth much anymore since it is so easy to burn cd's, reel to reels can still bring some money..

Gee,

I feel better now, after seeing that guy's list of gear. Maybe my collecting wasn't a problem after all... soundt/larry.jpg

If you get the lot, someone here might be interested in getting a piece or two off your hands.

I, myself, might consider a couple if they are multivoltage.

You can sell a few at the othr place, too, flip a few at ebay and keep a couple for yourself.

Not yet. I emailed him over a month ago, and he said he had to get it all in one place. There's a photo of just a few pieces that look like they're on shelves in a garage or storage unit. Why he posted the ad without all the info is beyond me. He says I have first crack. He's in no hurry, neither am I.

Good Luck, you can flip some, keep some and depending on price come out well.
