One of the best budget speaker cables being offered. This is a hybrid cable, which is silver layed over a copper core. But heres the secret of its excellent performance. Audio Magic uses a double layer of silver, while other companies use only a light coat of silver in their hybrid designs. The Audio Magic version gets the lions share of performanc found in pure silver speaker wire, but at a significantly lower cost. How do I know? My main rig uses the Audio Magic Illusions 4D speaker wire, and I have made side by side comparisons.
The Extreme has an open and detailed top end The midrange has a light and livley presentation. Bass extension is good for its price point, and is never sluggish or bloated. It is easy to tell that this is a competent silver wire design. Length is 8 foot per side. Terminations are spade lug. This is a single termination configuration. Not bi-wired. Condition is excellent, with the usual wear on the spades. This is a great wire for a modest price. If you want to kow what silver cables are all about this is an inexpensive way to get a taste. Or if you have a 2nd systm or a limited audio kitty, then this wire is a cost effective choice. By the way I have two pairs of Audio Magic Extreme interconnects listed, you may want to consider them also. I have limited internet access at the moment. If you are interested in this wire, call me on my cell at 509-438-7350. Paypal users add 3%. -------------------- When Pigs Fly......
