Shipping would be a deal breaker for me. But out of curiousity what would be a fair offer for a pair like that?

because of their size, general lack of WAF and higher than average power requirements, the AR9 is one of the better values out there (but consider i am an owner and die-hard fan).

original owner, no issue other than surrounds (about $60 diy), i'd say $600-800 is fair.

Thanks,
I have been actively seeking a pair of these for a long time. The prices seem to vary from cheap and beat to very high. Unfortunately nothing local ever comes up and they look pretty scary to ship.

BTW looks like those sold in about an hour and a half.

that guy (the prospective buyer) is a serious AR speaker fan. he's got an HT setup with AR9's (fronts) and 90's (rears) with a custom center made with AR9 drivers. he's also in the process of restoring some LST's, i just cant recall if its one pair or two.
