Are there outside influences on the hard drive? we know LPs sound better than CDs. So if we are taking some of the compression out of the CD that it was ripped from wouldn't it sound better?

Let me restate OK, I think LPs sound better than CDs.

I have some vinyl that sounds really bad, the same with some cds.
Dynamic compression also exists in vinyl, even in the master tapes... IMO, old LPs like old cds sounds much better compared to today's mastering productions.
