Can you tell me if it have Toshiba ouput tranistors 2SD424 or/and 2SB554, used also with some Parasound amps?

I think Nelson Pass designed the 555 and the 585 is an Adcom upgrad with more power but the basic main design came from the 555... so, yes please link-me to the service manual.

My mistake, the link I have is to the owners manual not the service manual, they can be had here http://www.adcom.com/manuals.aspx if you are looking for specific information on an Adcom, Nelson Pass hangs out at http://www.diyaudio.com/ Echowars also drops in there from time to time, there is a lot a great information there.

What's the output of that beasty?

A very straightforward and nice design. Adcom gear is fantastic. It doesn't work in my setup, but it's plain to see it's a quality piece of kit.
