Well I bought a bicycle. So I need music while I ride. And I have people asking for them at the store. What do you guys use if you use them. Do they sound good?

Imo, this is a very sensitive issue..........i mean, that is a lot of stuff out there, please check out this link: http://www.mp3.com/hardware.php , but there are alot of OEM's Ipod's outhere mainly coming from China with incredible low prices. Imo, you must check with your retailler about this....
I use one of those Chinese clones - Ipod nano - and i'm very content with it. I bought another set of earphones from Koss and the sound is very good.

A friend of mine - where i bought mine - have a comp shop and he bought Ipod's at 4,00€ a unit.............................. unsure.gif blink.gif ohmy.gif ph34r.gif

speakerman1, you should be careful out there on a bike wearing headphones. Besides the fact bicycles are a "vehicle" and use of headphones while operating a "vehicle" is a ticketable offense in most (if not all) states, you also need to make sure you can hear your surroundings well enough to not be killed or injured by other cars, cyclists, pedestrians, etc...

If I were to pull up next to you on my bike, you would probably get a lecture from me, about how you are endangering yourself and feeding the general anti-cyclist mindset of most cops and motorists by wearing headphones.

I hope you reconsider.

Rob

I really appreciate your concern. I understand your point. When I ride I'm very careful. I'm waiting for a carbon fiber helmet. I don't ride w/o one.

Great point! I have a friend who rides with an ipod, i do know that he has been hit 3 times by cars, but wasnt using the ipod when he got hit. so what I do when I ride, I ride on a dedicated bike trail, no cars allowed, hopefully wont crash into any static objects.

I must say, I really want an ipod, it will probably be the next "audio thing" that I buy. the SQ isn't half bad, and I would definately buy a good dock for it so I could hook it to my stereo. wink.gif
