I posted a few months ago that i had to edit in my comp the last album of Queens Of The Stone Age because i just could listen to it. It has so much compression that all of the songs sounds almost like static to me. But i have, from the same band, a 45rpm and it sounds great.... soundt/confused-smiley-013.gif

With so much rumble in the news about this mess... imo i have no doubts,"they" are trying to kill the CD as an audio format. ph34r.gif

I wonder the percentage of kids that buys cd's nowadays....? Generally they listen to rock or whatever at loud volumes in their mp3 devices but the sound difference between a 192kb mp3 and a normal super compressed cd in that kind of music is less than nothing, so why bother expend money on a cd?

I'm not a kid anymore, and i don't buy a cd for a long time...ok, i have hundreds of them but, now i make my own cd's mostly from downloaded music which have 192kb of minimum rate than i edited them with a good software and i tell you, i've saved a lot of money and the loss in sound quality is not what you think it is.

Just how long you guys don't buy a cd? unsure.gif
