isolation cones, or isolation pads?

okay- do you prefer isolation cones/spikes, or isolation pads, or both?

I'm going to isolate my cd players, the turntable, and if you think it is beneficial, my amps and pre-amp.

I've got cones on my cdp, but suspect pads may be better. I dunno...

dunno, i havent tried either. i remember some DIY pads that looked pretty cool, used a cork center layer and some heavy duty rubber on the outside.

Consider Spikes, SD feet, Solid Tech's Disc of Silence, cork or similar.
But use them different places in your set-up because they have different functions.

I use spikes in my speaker stands and in my computer and isolation pads in my cdp and TT.

I also use "Superballs" in bedroom system cdp. biggrin.gif
