Which do you prefer? 12ax7 are the tubes in question for a Scott 299. Any issues with either?

I'd been dealling with ecc83/12ax for a long time and the ones i like the most were NOS Telefunken, NOS Mullard and NOS Siemens. A friend of mine use to have in is Vox guitar amp Sovtek valves. I never tried out that ones but the amp sounds great.
About the ones you'd mention my choice goes to Tesla.

Here's link you may find interesting:

Jim

We just started carrying the TJ Fullmusic 12AX7 which are designed to sound like the Telefunken's. Europe has had them for a year and many really like them as the real thing. Our sample run for them got gobbled up in days, will have more soon.

Rachel is selling them for around $60 and get this 'with a one year warranty' !!, yippe and about time eh. Contact her thru our site and say Hi if you want to get a notify list.

Waiting for a couple of golden ears to yap about them in our forum. I tried in our 300B and did the wow thing, needed to do some cable changes to handle the change from the Shuguangs, which I still really like too.

Jolida make there own tubes?

Ian
