I just came accross this ad in our local paper. I have no affiliation with the seller at all.

For Sale: Vintage high end reel-to-reel tape decks. Teac, Sony, Akai, Pioneer, etc. 7" and 10". Over 100 to choose from. Call 217-491-5193

Yes, but I still want to power it up as I don't want to sell anything DOA. I am spinning vinyl at the local bar Thursday, and finishing up processing deer, after that I will make sure it powers up, check to see if the reels would turn and if not if it is belt or direct drive, I know less than little about R2R's, heck I don't even know how to thread the tape, I just can't stand to see one go to the dump when it might be repairable.

Service manual http://www.obsoletemedia.com/tapedecks/man...rvice/index.htm

Here is some other information I ran accross
http://obsoletemedia.com/geeklog/forum/vie...9&fromblock=yes

I will also check on which Teac it is that I have.
