Stopped by a SallyAnn having a twofer bric-a-brac sale. Made a couple loops and was ready to leave when I saw an All-Clad kettle in a bottom cubbyhole. Pulled it out and saw it was brand new though the label on the bottom had been partially peeled off. Price was $3.50 soundt/banana.gif . Took me another 15 mins. to find something else. I settled on a large glass lid that I hoped fit another All-Clad. An eight quart stockpot I go for $4.50 without a lid. It is an odd diameter with a funny rolled lip. Been looking for months and the glass one does fit. Just before Christmas I found a vintage copper bain-marie with a ceramic insert marked "Hall" along with a 1 quart copper pot. The bain-marie was $10 and the other $1.25 with discounts. I did well with copper pots this year and also picked up a metal body meat grinder for my Kitcheaid mixer for $5 along with some metal cassette tapes. rolleyes.gif

"SallyAnn having a twofer"

???

The rest I understand and yes, I love those moments! I can spend many hours in charity shops looking for bargains, including cookware bit vintage and current.

Ah, we call them "The Salvoes" here. I kind of guessed that but wasn't sure.
