hello, a word of notice for any member that might happen to have a yen towards obtaining one of these cassette decks, of which the CT-W910R is the very best dual well PIONEER ever made. the CT-W900R, the first model of this design series, and the 1988 TOTL dual-well, is, at a casual glance, a almost indistinguishable dead ringer for the 1989 TOTL CT-W910R. do not be deceived; things are not as they seem. the CT-W910R is in fact a 17lb. super dual-well with a weighty cast-iron encased, epoxy filled power trannie and "PCOCC" wiring.

now, the CT-W900R, conversely, is a 13lb. deck, with no mention whatsoever of PCOCC wire content. that pretty much asserts, IMO, the likelyhood that the model lacks both features. while i cannot say weather these features offer any real sonic dividends over their absence in the 900R, i am willing to bet that they in fact very much do, as the CT-W910R that i own is the best sounding deck i have ever owned, beating out the NAKAMICHI BX-100 that i also have. it is so good, that it seems to be able to use supermetals like the TDK MA-XG to their fullest, and i honestly cannot imagine a better sounding PIONEER deck outside of the TOTL single-wells such as the CT-S800/CT-91...
