ohmy.gif WOW. ohmy.gif just got these babies today, (2/04/09) and i could not possibly be happier!! they are like new, EXACTLY as if i had just took the DeLorean back to 1974 and bought them myself!! BEAUTIFUL sound, RUGGED build, RATCHETING adjustment points, perfect fit and finish, and totally comfortable to wear!! IMO, these beauties are absolutely beyond reproach! i've finally got a set of serious cans to last me life!! i'm a very happy audioweenie!! cool.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif smile.gif soundt/action-smiley-035.gif soundt/afro.gif

these are the mid-range models in the 1974 line-up. there are two models above it, the SE-405 and 505, the 505 being the TOTL. both are two-ways and have volume adjustments for each driver. i'm quite satisfied with these 305s actually, and quite grateful for their lack of volume pots to corrode and get all scratchy. besides, i have heard that at least one fellow that happens to own all of this line-up EXCEPT for the 305, mention that he prefers the sound of even the model under the 305, the SE-205, to the sound of the TOTL 505. (perhaps the tweeter against the ear sounds too bright for some?) anyway, here are pics of the complete line-up:
