Hello to all members and thank you all for the welcome. I'm from NE Florida, retired U.S. Military, Audiogon member, and enjoy reading and contributing to forums. Sound Thinking was recommended to me by a dealer that I contacted for product information. soundt/jump.gif

Hello and Thanks to All,

I've been trying to learn more and more on forums while choosing components. Listening to good opinions helped make many positive improvements in my audio and video decisions. Glad to be introduced to Sound Thinking and looking forward to some reading... Dan

Welcome aboard!

Besides loving my Sansui setup, I buy and sell military surplus. Here's a link to my thread here where I post "stuff" I get from time to time.

My Stuff.....

What branch were you in?

Larry

PS Thanks for your service!! soundt/thumbup.gif

That GYRO is awesome! I'd say the round black globe with the yellow cover may be a globe temperature componet from a Canadian WBGT meter. If yes, I believe the internals are three soldered copper filaments, making it very fragile.

7. + .2 + .1 = WBGT Index anyone?

Then again, maybe not.

Then again, maybe not.

That's a flight deck helmet (1959 vintage) on a "flare" (a black steel ball with a wick that was used to mark temporary runways).
