I used to love to power browse page after page of gear looking for BIN's and interesting stuff. With the new ad servers, my browser sometimes locks up for five seconds until the ad appears. This even happens when viewing an item and going back to the search results. I'm definitely looking less and buying less.

BTW, I have the fastest Verizon DSL hookup.

You are not missing much. One would think it would be a buyers market, and that the economy would have people dumping expensive luxuries like stereo gear. Instead it seems like people are listing less and waiting for the buyers to return.

I think the rule about restricting sellers to offer payment via anything but PayPal openly could not have been timed worse. I pay via Postal Money Orders exclusively, and the PayPal policy has simply ruled out a lot of possible purchases.

I've been looking for a Tivoli Model One for a couple of weeks now, and the prices are simply obscene. I should have picked one up brand new for $99 at Tweeter when they were first introduced. Now I'll be lucky to find one in acceptable used shape for the same stinkin' price.user posted image

I am finding that a lot of sites are running very slow, we have a very high speed connection here at work, I just went to the weather channel site, it was pianful waiting for each page to load. I don't know if the servers are getting over loaded or if the ads are the culprtit or a combination of all.
