Picked up another tt for the head shell/cartridge last week that needed some cleaning so I decided to clean a few that I have around. This is one box. About a dozen belong to various tts I have. Given some by a guy I bought a Sansui from who got stuff from estate sales. Said he had no use for them. I bought a large lot from an estate of an electronics repair person. It appeared he did a lot of surplus buying.

Looks like my box of "some-days" as in some day I may want or need this..... I can't pass up a good quality vintage pickup at yard sales. My box of Empire pickups is stuffed to the gills.
Got anything nice in that box? -------------------- Retired USN

Any decent headshells? We had a member looking for an SME headshell.

I'd like one! Raises hand high! ![]() There was a guy on AK, IIRC Brocluna? Made a neat wall mounted caddy to hold the carts and headshells upright, looked really cool, just a thought. Maybe those that are still allowed to grace AK's prescence could pull up a pic?? Nice- as I find myself with ever-diminishing space, something like headshells and cartridges are becoming a new fetish.
I have only one empire- a 2000 something, an adc oddball model, a Shure, a Grado, three ATs, three signets, a B&O, a Stanton, an Osawa, maybe a few more. Since I've got two SME arms and 7 sonys, the Sony headshells and SMEs are what I dig for most. -------------------- What you got back home, lil' sister, to play yer fuzzy warbles on? I have only one SME and it's on the tonearm. I would imagine some of these headshells (Sony, Toshiba, Sansui, Pioneer etc and a number of unmarked) are nice but that would have to be determined. Did pick up a Pioneer PL-512 today because it had an excellent Shure V15 III mounted (see in "Solid State" above). This post has been edited by hakka26 on April 18, 2009 06:05 pm |
