R.E.M. is among the groups I didn't really listen to much the first time around. didn't dislike them, just didn't tune in. Now, when I put them on, I really enjoy the music.

Got a half dozen Klemmer albums from an ex-GF's mom years ago
(she was an early adopter and jettisoned her records for CDs.)
Nice stuff. Great to work by, because there are no lyrics to clutter the mind.

And I'm glad I have "Ah, Leah" by Donnie Iris on CD, because I would have
worn out the grooves on a record.

Nice pickups, boyz.

Can't you hear the thunder?
Someone stole my watch.
Sold a quart of blood and bought a half a pint of scotch.
With a pint of green Chartreuse, ain't nothin' seems right.
You buy the Sunday paper on a Saturday night.

i got a remastered disc of donnie iris, I grew up on the LP, loved it. I do like the klemmer, its really smooth to mellow out to.

I will post pics of my dump haul from last weekend. A pile of Kingston Trio LP's, all near mint as well as several other folk artists. Also Simon & Garfunkel and the winner, Janis Joplin "Pearl". Most look seldom played or at least very well cared for.
