Other than Audio? Mine is my house. I spend alot of money trying to make it look good. I never planted flowers and trees before. I have seeded my lawn about 4 times; because it was a pasture. Next is staining the deck. Then build a free floating patio. I already built a rock flower garden out front. Just built a storage shed. I planted climbing Roses on the side of it. I have 3 dwarf fruit trees. 2 pears in the backyard and a peach in the front yard.
I have bird feeders so in the morning I drink my coffee on the deck and watch the birds. It just lets me feel a little closer to God.
So that is my 2nd most expensive vice.

Actually my audio/video systems would be my second most expensive vice, and by a significant margin. #1 is cars. Besides the one I drive I also have a project car that is partially disassembled in my garage, and have been pondering a getting a purpose built race car. I also combine the two hobbies as my daily driver has an Alpine/JBL system that I installed in it.

Unfortunately I have none. Even my audio equipment has been with me for almost 30 years.

When I opened my own business, I chose to put all of my money in dirt (property) in order to be able to put my kids through college without the usual financial woes. I gave up any of the usual hobbies in exchange for the freedom of my business. All went well until this economic downturn. I am now dirt rich and cash poor, with one son in college and a daughter graduating high school in two weeks. My rentals are no longer the guarantees they used to be, so I always have to work a few days in advance.

We're doing OK, I just don't get to screw off now as I had planned. That could all change tomorrow, too. I am a car nut, so some kind of hot rod is not too far in the future.

I've got my stereo all pretty much squared away, so the new money pit in my life is my computer. Buying parts and upgrading it actually provokes more groans about spending money in my house than the stereo ever did. laugh.gif

I used to upgrade my machine a bunch, but I have had the same 2 machines for 4 years with only 1 upgrade. I recently got a gforce gt250, only because it came with two games. but my second fun expense is riding atvs
