I was inside an SA trailer looking at some speakers when I spotted a crate of records undera couple boxes. Was able to pull it partly out and started to look through them. Third one in was Dylan's Greatest Hits with the poster in mint condition soundt/post-2-1162594343.gif . The sleeve had been replaced with an archival one. Started pulling out others, Joplin's "Pearl," CCR "Chronicles," Seger .... Manger said "I don't see why you don't just take them all." "Okay, how about another five bucks?" "Sold!!!" blink.gif Got 70 mint albums and an Eagles Live poster. Need to start moving things around so I'll inventory later. But, there is more. Check around.

I scored four early blue note LPs (Hank Mobley, Herbie Hancocck, etc) for 60 cents each and a Beatles record in VG++ vinyl shape (the sleeve was rough) but otherwise my vinyl scores have not been so hot.

Congrats.

Are you archiving, collecting or re-selling?

We can re-sell this stuff?! blink.gif Albums I keep or just give away. Did get a look at these. Many different titles and some that don't seem to be of the same collection. Many have new sleeves but the originals were kept. These two are notable. The Kate Bush is a Japanese pressing with obi and a shot of the Dylan poster, doesn't appear to have ever been unfolded. Lot of CSN&Y, Seger, Joplin's Live, Yes, Blackfoot(?), a Streisand ohmy.gif .... Got the crate also.

The Streisand will sound fantastic thrown against a tree from the passenger window of a car travelling at 35+ mph...

As for re-selling, nothing against it, though I usually give a good amount away, or sell 'em for a buck, or even better, trade 'em.

Got any Tom Waits??????? smile.gif

Funny you should ask. These two came in the mix. I collect, sometimes just for the cover art.

Hey, Paul. I was just wondering how you feel about Streisand, Barbra Streisand.

I thought Molly Hatchet had one good song: Train, Train.
Then I found out it was done by Blackfoot.
I picked up a BF album in a box of misc recently, and they were pretty good.

i cant speak for Paul, but i think she's ugly, butt ugly.

i think it would be cool to hear classic voices like hers doing rock. Ann Wilson's got a set of fine pipes and that turned out pretty good.

Nice score on the Tom Waits. Let me know if you ever want to sell or trade them.

As for Babs Striesand, I lump her in with Mitch Miller and Barry Manilow, which means I think not much of 'er...
