This morning I'm listening to Chickenfoot. With the headphones you can seperate Joe's guitar work better it isn't as subtle. I don't pick bands apart but certain things standout. I'm sorry if you don't like this band. You didn't grow up during the time everyone sit around stoned and just jammed. When you could hear a whole LP on a FM station w/o commercials. Or the college station had Zappa night. Those days are long gone; but every once in awhile a band brings it back. This band does that. Yes I'm talking to Jerry's kids too.

It's always great when no matter what band can triggered those memories back again. smile.gif

I´ve never heard anything by Chickenfoot, I believe. That´s probably because I was never stonned in my whole life. unsure.gif

I got drunk plenty enough, though. rolleyes.gif First serious conflict I had with my wife came about because of my excessive drinking in those days.

Anyway, a couple of scotches too many, and Mozart´s Requiem takes on a whole new heavenly meaning. Play Beethoven´s 5th, and you´re in hell.soundt/action-smiley-035.gif

This morning we are listening to several Blues players doing Bob Dylan songs. Just the right mood. I like jamming in the morning cause it puts me in a good mood. I have one where the Bues play Rolling Stone songs. Talked to my youngest son. He asked if I listened to country. I laughed and said no. he is a big Zep fan. Well that is all this A.M. Have a good day.

I need to start waking to the FM station like I used to. Some of the best college stations here and fantastic morning shows.

I like my current commute though- no radio. When I had health and money I enjoyed driving the BMW to work and playing new releases on the deck, albiet with sunroof and windows open. Better yet was the motorcycle and no radio, or the fixed gear track bike and the sound of your own heart beating with exuberation and effort.

Now it's an hour commute of two rough miles in a different wheeled device, manually powered, and although I enjoy the sounds of nature and the environment, it's more concern over not being run over that I need it quiet.

This A.M. I'm listening to the Dead. I forgot how much I liked them. I like the mellow way they jam. It isn't you want to just kick back mellow it is a toe tapping just feel good music. I'm not a Dead Head ; but they have their place in a music collection. These guys were together for so long. You can tell in their music they were comfortable with each other. I need to start tapeing again. Just it is summer so I am outside doing things. Yesterday I listened to it on the tubes. Today it is on my S.S. The tubes have more warmth and the bass is more pronounced. It still sounds good. Have a good day.

I just now realized what this friggin' thread was about.

My first thought was "AM radio is all talk - who cares?"

Myself, I listen to AM in the A.M. Poor quality, signal and content.

Good Morning. This morning I'm listening to a story teller. Rick Wakeman. Rick Wakeman was with YES. For awhile. I like the stories put to music. You have to listen to appreciate the time it must take to do this. But he does do some jamming on that keyboard of his. Journey To The Center of The Earth is my favorite. This CD is a variety of his works. I will put the rest of his music on to do a little jammin. This music is the kind your parents would scratch their head and say I don't understand you. I wish you guys were here to hear some of the melodies he comes up with. Well I think I'll go listen for awhile. Tomorrow you will never know what I'm going to listen to. Have a good day.

Although I´m not a particularly big fan of him, "Journey..." is also my favourite Rick Wakeman solo album, but you can´t denny the originality and very amusing and entertaining effects of " Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table".

Many people´s favourite, however, is " The Six Wives of Henry VIII". In my opinion it is probably the best in musical terms. Dense and intense...if somewhat monotonous.

Hi everyone. Do you remember the group Sweet. Well it's their Greatest Hits this morning. This group is the one you ask who did this song. Ballroom Blitz. Is my favorite. Their music is kinda light. Just enough Rock to keep it from being the Bubblegum rock of the 70s. If you don't have it try it. I don't like all their stuff ; but they have enough good songs to keep you listening. Well this is a little to sweet. I got to one song I really like. From here lets take a a little jump. Here we go to a cassette to get some analog this morning. Led Zeppelin. This is just little tape of my favorites. So what was the greatest Led lp? Have a good day. I'm going to listen some good music.

Its between Led Zep II, and houses of the holy, Zep II just rocks and houses of the holy seems a bit more psychedelic, but still rocks pretty good.

Good Morning. Someone asked if I listened to Alan Parson? Well here we go with I Robot. This is the only LP of his I have. I keep forgeting I have it. This music flows and takes you with it. You have to listen to the words. The music is just an added bonus. This is one I will record. This music is also a good test for you system. He has everything in it so you would be able to tell where your system has a weak point. Well to the person who asked Thanks. To all have a good day.

Another good Alan Parsons is Tales of Imagination, his Lp Vulture Culture is a good system checker, I will send you a copy.
