i figure that since you're gonna get traffic here, new suggestions are bound to pop up.

if they are shown here quickly, they could be ripped and implemented elsewhere. it kinda makes it easy on the competition to get a good idea of where you're heading!

just my 2 cents but i would hush up on suggestions until they are either rejected or implemented.

I prefer to have things out in the open where members can give their input. Do we have competition we need to keep in the dark?

Well Mark, my take on this is that there is great competition in this field and great audio sites such as audioasylum, audiogon, diy audio, audio karma, pink fish.... and the list goes on.

It's not about being secretive as much as being creative and bringing in music and gear lovers from all over the planet smile.gif ! Many belong to forums associated with equipment (Naim, Linn, Quad, Dynaco, Klipsch...) and can only share their hobby with those who speak the same language (i.e. same maker)! A lot of those forums seem to be nothing more than brand reinforcement babble! Thousands frequent such places! Could this site accomodate such people where they can not only share but also debate their passions? I certainly think so!

What can be done to make Sound Thinking stand out and become the home of choice? Ideas are priceless imho!

Maybe at this point, as we are small, we just do it the simple way and toss ideas out and see if they stick. If you have some real barn burner ideas and think it is really something just Email a admin and we can work it a little behind the scenes. In the end if you publish something and it takes off and is innovative it is copied ASAP anyway. A forum itself is just that kind of animal. I lean towards leaving it open and a team effort. Super unique ideas to be PMed and discussed. Does that work for ya?
